The northbound Silver Star has just completed its first station stop at the new depot in Lakeland, Fla., (about a mile east) and is heading towards Tampa, where it will turn, make another stop in Lakeland, and then continue north. The now-abandoned Atlantic Coast Line station was built in 1960 and abandoned in 1998; a nice set of ACL signals on a cantilever bridge are at the east end of the platform.
