The giant DMIR 227 Yellowstone and the original EF1 electric MILW 10200 stand in the afternoon sun under the trainshed in Duluth, but it's trains of the wooden variety that have my children's attention for the time being. Not to worry, I would drag them away just after taking this picture, reminding them, "You can play with your Thomas trains at home. You can't sit in the cab of a 2-8-8-4 or a boxcab electric in Brooten!" Thanks to the folks at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum for their outstanding work in putting together and maintaining a truly remarkable collection that's fun for the whole family to explore.
