In a rather unusual turn of events, NYSW SU-99 is seen heading West through Port Jervis hours earlier than its usually due through the area. The train was running off schedule and operating the Saturday before Memorial Day. In order to get the crew home earlier for the weekend, a local crew qualified to Pelton brought the train there where SU-99 took over. After holding at Campbell Hall for an Eastbound Metro North train, SU-99 was given the main to Port Jervis where the sun was positioned perfectly for the rare daylight freight.
