One of the most scenic locations to shoot railroads in the Northeast is in the Lehigh Gorge. Unfortunately, catching a train running through the Gorge in daylight is a real struggle. Norfolk Southern runs 4 trains, 12T/13T/H67/H69, but all at night. Canadian Pacific also runs their trains, 258/259, at night as well as the RBMN PILE. So upon hearing 13T left Binghamton, NY at 4:40am on Saturday, I knew the train would be running daylight through the Lehigh Gorge. I took advantage of the opportunity, and got a shot of the train rolling south through Glen Onoko, from high above. The train is rolling down the former Lehigh Valley main, and I am standing on top of the former CNJ Turn Hole Tunnel. Trailing on this train was NS #6920, the "Honoring our Veterans" unit.
