Here's a glimpse of an extremely rare sight; running an incredible 19 hours late, Amtrak's Southwest Chief #3 makes an early morning appearance in Rowe, NM. This train was delayed due to a detour after heavy rains caused washouts in the Midwest. Featuring a friendly crew, they wave enthusiastically to the camera. Also, decorated in the Phase III paint scheme, Heritage unit #145 is the trailing locomotive.
