Coming from Illinois, there's not too many scenes near home that one could consider theatrical. Perhaps a bustling downtown or the construction of a new building may be one's forte, but nothing like that compares to a crisp morning in the Rocky Mountains. Birds sing their tunes, the waters of a small river crash upon rocks and boulders, and every now and then, a train will come along to play its own part in the grand production. Such is the case here at Tunnel 29 as the day's Denver to Salt Lake City manifest loops around the horseshoe curve and heads into the small community of Pinecliffe, Colorado.
The reason railpictures.net has captured my imagination for so many years. Images of quality and distinction, in other words, amazing railroad photography.
