A special visitor at the 2013 URHS Open House came in the form of NS 1074, the Lackawanna heritage unit. While the weather wasn't ideal for night photography, there was still a decent turnout for the event as the modern EMD was staged with a classic GG1 at the front of the yard. The URHS will host their open house this year on September 20 with an impressive lineup of locomotives planned to be in attendance. Most notably is the last surviving U34CH, EL 3372, followed by Erie 436, an SW9 which was just brought home to the shops earlier this year.
This gallery contains photos of equipment and properties that became, were and used to be part of the Erie Lackawanna Railroad. This gallery also contains photos of equipment paying tribute to the EL or its predecessors.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
