Night fall down in Boston Lodge. In front of the engine shed three over 100 years old little saddle tank steamlocomotives are positioned. From left to right: "Lilla" built by Hunslet Engine Co. in 1891 for the Cilgwyn Slate Co Quarry at Nantlle and bought by the Penrhyn Quarry in 1928. On the Ffestiniog Railway since 1993.
Privately owned "Winifred" from Hunslet Engine Co in Leeds, built in 1885 for shunting duties at Port Penrhyn. This locomotive was in the USA from 1965 till 2012!
"Hugh Napier", built by Hunslet Engine Co. in 1904, is owned by the National Trust.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
