On this bitter cold morning TVRM #100 Missionary Ridge Local is being led by a familiar face that has been absent from this section of railroad since 2004, Its the restore Nashville Chattanooga & St. Louis (N.C&St.L) GP9 number 710, which is pulling a three car matching set consist. Still in the glorious red, and yellow paint now fading, and sporting that classy classic mars light, this almost 66 year old motor some what still shine as a strong reminder that the Nashville Chattanooga & St. Louis Railroad had a strong presents not only in the Chattanooga area, and the State of Tennessee, but in the Southeast, and even after the railroad had disappeared 59 years ago, the name "NC" will forever be popular, and part of railroad history in the Southeast U.S. Personally this is one of my favorite restored locomotives that I've ever had the opportunity to see.
