Amtrak's two Phase III heritage-schemed motors, P40DC #822 and P42DC #145 are on the point of the westbound Cardinal, slowing down for their station stop at Huntington 23 minutes early. After a 30 minute layover, the train will continue their tri-weekly night trek across the C&O for a 10AM arrival at Chicago. The two units were painted as part of Amtrak's 40th anniversary, and were two of several Genesis units to receive the past paint schemes of the NRPC, as well as the new Viewliner II baggage car behind them, which shares a modified version of the scheme.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
