Tallulah Falls Railroad X-5 in Cornelia, Georgia in 1957. TF X-5 was built in 1900 for the Central of Georgia Railroad and was sold to the Tallulah Falls in the 1930's. X-5 served the Tallulah Falls until the road closed in March 1961. The caboose was sold to the Alexander Railroad in North Carolina for use on their failed tourist operation in May 1961. After sitting in Taylorsville, North Carolina for a period of time, X-5 was used as a Boyscout meeting house. In 1991 Rutherford Ellis lead a project to bring X-5 home to Cornelia, where the caboose resides today. The caboose is available for public viewing at the Southern/Tallulah Falls depot in Cornelia, Georgia and has been restored to its 1940's appearance.
