Fresh Paint: Having finished interchanging with Vermont Railway, recently repainted MEC SD40-2 #614 leads ST Train XO-1 out of North Bennington Yard as it begins its return trip to Mechanicville, NY and, ultimately, Rotterdam Junction. The track to the right is the former Bennington Branch. Although only a short section of this line is still used for interchange and car storage, the tracks are still in place all the way to downtown Bennington. In the days of the Rutland Railroad, the tracks continued beyond Bennington over the "Corkscrew Division" to Chatham, NY and a connection with the New York Central.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
