On a warm summer afternoon in Arizona's high desert, one of BNSF's 12,000 foot-long stack trains emerges out of Crozier Canyon as it slowly descends down Yampai Hill. These 12K train run from Logistic Park Chicago, IL to the Southern California on-dock terminals in the Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach. They run with three units in the front, two in the middle, and one unit bring up the rear. At the time of this photo, BNSF was still running these trains as test. Now, they are nearly a daily train running east and westbound.
