RailPictures.Net Photo: CP 434683 Canadian Pacific Railway Caboose at Galiano Island, British Columbia, Canada by Matthew Robson (www.elevation-media.com)
It has always been a dream of mine to have my very own CP Rail caboose. In the summer of 2014, I received a rare opportunity to obtain one from the Kettle Valley Steam Railway in Summerland, BC. After months of hard work my father and I successfully moved it to Galiano Island and saved it from the scrap line. There is a lot of work to do, but we hope to one day renovate it into a cabin. Pictured here, "Katie Caboose" basks in a lovely summer evening after receiving a new coat of paint. For more information and pictures, visit my flickr album: https://flic.kr/s/aHsk2Xadhm
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
