One of the strange and unusual, but not surprising find is this Nashville & Eastern former General Electric Leasing.(LMX) B39-8E number 8572 which is renumber into N&E 8573 once this unit was acquired by the Nashville & Eastern, sit quietly on the east-end of the Tennessee Central/Nashville & Eastern Yard in Nashville, TN. N&E 8573 sport the common GE Demo scheme that was painted on this unit when it was first brought out of the General Electric Plant in March of 1988. This unit and all 99 of its sister units where seen used on various of railroad, but was commonly use by the Burlington Northern Railway. This unit today is 1 of 6 B39-8E use on the Nashville & Eastern Railroad.
