Follow the Flag. Norfolk Southern's Wabash heritage unit is right at home on former territory on July 22, 2016 as it leads a Detroit-Kansas City, Mo., TripleCrown across Lake Decatur on a bridge completed in 1907. At the time, the bridge was one of the largest concrete projects in the world and was the preferred location for the Wabash Railroad's publicity photos. Behind the bridge, two former Illinois Terminal abutments can be seen.
