Freshly painted DMIR 157 and a spotless caboose, C-239 are parked at BN's Rices Point Yard south of downtown Duluth, MN, presumably during a transfer run from Proctor. 1984 was a year of significant change for Duluth railroads as the Duluth, Winnipeg & Pacific completed its new Pokegama, WI yard along side the DMIR, and I35 construction through downtown Duluth would eliminate much of the downtown yard trackage used for industries and interchange between railroads.
