It was a hot and steamy late August in KY, and not just because "Sadie" was in town... Despite the less than comfortable temperatures several hundred patrons enjoyed the chance to ride behind "Sadie" over two weekends at the Bluegrass Railroad Museum. The profile of the museums 5.5 miles of former Southern RR LL Branch is anything but flat, and the 0-6-0 was working hard up the stiff grades with 4 cars in tow on her way back to Versailles from the easy trip down to the KY. River Valley. Despite the heat, the open window of standard coach seating was definitely the place to be, at least on the eastbound leg, while "Sadie" put on a grand show making the climbs. www.BluegrassRailroad.com for more on the museum that hosted her.
