In the 1970’s, the Canadian Pacific’s branch from the main line at Smiths Falls, Ontario to the Canadian National’s Montreal – Toronto main line existed primarily for passenger service from Ottawa to Brockville, combining with CN trains to continue to Toronto. The CP had a small yard with team tracks just east of the passenger station, which was served by a local out of Smiths Falls, typically powers by a single Also/MLW switcher. Here, the crew of that local drills the yard in Brockville.
