Remarks & Notes |
On a ferry move from the Virginia Museum of Transportation to the North Carolina Transportation Museum, N&W 611 sings the song of her near extinct people as the train ducks under the old Southern-era cantilevers at CP "Edna" in Reidsville. 611 will roll under these signals only a few more times this year before they are stricken from active duty, becoming the next victims to the march of progress. In a way, the gloomy weather was fitting for the occasion. |
