The colors of early dawn are cracking to the east, silhouetting the old steam-era concrete coaling tower still spanning the Chicago & North Western’s main line through De Kalb, Illinois, on March 25, 1995. With headlights blazing, a westbound C&NW intermodal train blasts through town, and underneath the imposing structure.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
