On August 10, 1986, the locomotive facility and shop area of Belt Railway of Chicago’s Clearing Yard in Bedford Park, Illinois, hosts a large number of locomotives, mostly home-road and Seaboard System. Former Family Lines, Louisville & Nashville, Clinchfield and Seaboard Coast Line units can be seen, as well as those in Seaboard System gray. BRC Alco C-424s Nos. 600 and 601 are on the right on radial tracks off the turntable, while the main shop building dominates the background.
