I been working in Cedar Rapids couple times a week the past month. I've seen the UP sometimes runs a Beverly Yard turn to their North Yard around mid-day. This is how the UP moves car to and from north Cedar Rapids to Beverly Yard on the Clinton Sub. Here the job crosses the Cedar River as they make their way back to Beverly with cars from the IANR, the CN, and cars from local industries. This trackage was once the mainline thru Cedar Rapids before the Otis cutoff was done, and the bridge has 1898 markings on both ends. This is the Cedar Rapids Industrial lead that runs 8.6 miles from Beverly to Otis, via downtown Cedar Rapids.
