Normally assigned to log trains, Heisler #3 is being used on a short passenger extra carrying lumber company executives to visit a newly opened logging spur.
Ok, I suppose that a historically believable story of this train is hard to come up with, but it sure is good looking regardless! Being a wood burner Heisler #3 doesn't usually put out a good plume, the one exception being when it is very cold outside. With a dusting of snow on the ground, she sure put on quite a show on this cold fall day.
