Nearly 49 years after she pulled the last official steam train of the SBB, and 101 years after she was built by the SLM, the 2-10-0 C 5/6 # 2969 was "inaugurated" again and baptised to the name of "Alfred Escher" (Swiss politician, business leader and railway entrepreneur, 1819 to 1862). The locomotive is pulling the "inauguration train" entering Arnegg. The first two cars are from the Swiss Classic Train (SCT) of Andrew Cook, followed by privately owned C # 5820 "Thurgauer Stube" and electric locomotive Be 4/4 # 14 of Eurovapor for heating the train.
