New Hope & Ivyland No. 40 leads a Santa train through Hood on a chilly evening following a snowfall. This bridge is frequently photographed from the other side of the tracks. Lights were carefully placed to avoid the trees. Focusing light on the nose of the locomotive and the stone house creates depth in the photo.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
