One of many cantilever signal bridges that guard BNSF's Raton Subdivision stands in the darkness of night, with only the stars serving as a guide to the mountain terrain. A tardy Amtrak #4 had just blown by, and in another 22 hours, the signal will light green again for the arrival of the next Amtrak #4.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
