When a F is actually a D... At the Coney Island-Stilwell Avenue station, terminus for the D, F, N and Q trains, a F train is arriving off the D line from Manhattan, on a weekend when maintenance schedules had D trains running on the F line, and vice versa. This station has eight tracks and four island platforms. According to the New York City Transit Authority, this makes it one of the world's largest elevated transportation terminals, as well as the largest in North America.
