One of the biggest challenges in processing photos shot in the EBT Yard is leveling the image. Normally, one would look for prominent objects near the center of the image, which "should" be vertical. Unfortunately, in the Orbisonia Yard, there are very few such objects. In this case, about the only reliable one is likely the pair of stacks that tower above the shop. Many of the wooden buildings in the yard are sagging and leaning in all manner of directions making a plumb line very difficult to find. The Friends of the EBT have done yeoman service over the years, shoring up a number of buildings that looked to be in danger of simply falling over, but leveling EBT Yard shots remains one of the most challenging tasks in preservation railroad photography.
