Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) line car No. 3332 sits in the yard at Mattapan, Massachusetts, on September 12, 2003. This “double-end” car was built by Pullman-Standard in 1945 for Dallas Railway & Terminal, and came to the MBTA in the late 1950s. At a later date, the PCC was converted to a line car, equipped with rooftop platforms and used to repair and service the overhead wire and supports. In the background is the open-air Mattapan car shop.
The MBTA is very dear to me. The first trains I ever rode as a toddle to teenager were those of the "T" Here is a collection of MBTA Subway and trolley I have found on RP from the 60's thru today.
