"All Uphill From Here" - Blue Ridge Southern's T31 'Asheville Turn' works their way westbound through the small community of Coburn, North Carolina, identified by an original Southern Railway station sign. This is one of the first trains received from NS since the multiple washouts on Old Fort Mountain. Things are slowly starting to get back to normal around here, with NS rerouting most of our traffic in via Bulls Gap and the River Line.
The auxiliary track to the left of the Main is used for storage and or reducing tonnage for the climb to Canton, with tops out around 3.3%.
