The Strong One: In Garibaldi, Oregon, a railroading oddity sits on an unusually sunny Fall day. This is the "Skookum", a very rare 2-4-4-2 type steam locomotive. It was the first logging mallet locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1909. Restoration of this locomotive is nearing completion but due to a timing issue, it will still be a little bit before the Skookum can once again take the High Iron.
