Frozen in time. The mainline of the East Broad Top Railroad in Orbisonia, PA, was completed in August of 1873, ultimately reaching 33 miles at its height. When the line closed in 1956, it was thought to be destined for scrap. Tourist operations began in 1960, running until 2011. Since then, there have been some tours of the property, but the engines and tracks have sat sadly silent as this snapshot on the evening of Sunday, April 7, 2019 demonstrates.
