After getting my first shot near Peterson, I joined the crowd on the freeway and inched east toward Evanston. I had to go that way because my hotel for the night was in Evanston. The train made a longer than expected stop of Morgan and I somewhat surprisingly found myself ahead of it, so I turned onto the the old highway at Henefer. The track was lined with families out to see the train, it was really an amazing experience to see so many people interested in a train. So again I just incorporated the folks into my picture, photographing the event not just the train. A former UP public relations exec had commented that steam was the "nuclear weapon" of railroad PR, and the run from Ogden to Evanston seemed to prove his point. It was a Fourth of July parade atmosphere.
