Tremont & Gulf Railroad 2-8-2 No.30, an oil burner, travels west through Jacksonville, TX, over the original Texas State Railroad right of way on a return trip, via Maydelle, to Palestine (pronounced "Palesteen"). The "new" Texas State Railroad numbered No. 30 in the past as the surviving (but coal fed) Texas State Railroad No. 400. The actual Texas State Railroad No. 400 (original Fort Worth & Denver City Railway Co. No. 410) is on display in Marshall, TX. The Texas State Railroad purchased No. 30 in 1974 from the Magma Arizona Railroad Company, their No. 7.
