Remarks & Notes
A Montana Western Railway freight departs Silver Bow, Montana, powered by a quartet of leased Rarus Railway EMD GP9s, still decorated in the same colors when delivered new to predecessor Butte, Anaconda & Pacific. Yes, it was a cool morning—and yes, that is snow on the roofs of the locomotives and cars, and on the distant mountains—on August 26, 1993!
