During the late spring afternoon, NS 15T (Allentown,PA-Birmingham,AL) is easing south through Control-Point East End Avenue (MP-337.5) on that main 1 track with a trio of dash 9. CT-Dispatcher has the train lined up to Main St where NS will lined 2 CSX northbound to cross the interlock at 23rd st. Once that move is complete 15T will get a signal to proceed south away from the terminal, and get a track warrant from the AGS North dispatcher. NS 8870 is one of the 124 D9-40C's locomotives that is often missed by the railfans. With Norfolk Southern embracing the change of motives power all of the one of a kind D9-40C's were rebuilt into the new DC-AC conversion AC44C6M's.
