Not a test. MTA Metro North's M8s are not frequently seen east/north of the New Haven State Street Station. On Saturday, July 27, 2019, several trains of these electric MUs passed through on track 4 in order to relay and return to the New Haven Station for their next run, seen here while a CT Rail set awaits its turn at the platform. Work on switches closer to the station necessitated this move, falsely raising hopes the the train would continue east on the Corridor on the route of Shore Line East.
