The original diesels that pulled 'The Canadian': Canadian Pacific FP7 class diesels #1424 & 1418 on display in Medicine Hat, Alberta. This photo is from a trip my wife & I took out west on VIA Rail’s ‘Skeena’ & ‘Canadian’ – taking the ‘Canadian’ from Toronto to Edmonton stopping over in Alberta to explore the Rockies and various preserved railway equipment by rental car before taking VIA Rail’s ‘Skeena’ from Jasper through the Rockies to Prince Rupert then boarding the ferry to Port Hardy to visit Vancouver Island & various preserved equipment there.
