Testing on the main. NJ TRANSIT 4109 (GP40PH-2, neé CNJ 3677 GP40P) emerged from NJT’s Meadowlands Maintenance Complex for a short run to Newark Broad Street on the afternoon on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, marking its first appearance out on the high iron since undergoing maintenance related work and PTC installation at the MMC. This engine was recently repainted to a similar version of its original scheme, including NJDOT logo, as it was paid for by the State of New Jersey and operated by Central Railroad of New Jersey (CNJ). Train 6640 makes a meet (or a photobomb, depending on your age and perspective) on its way to New York Penn Station with ALP46A 4656.
