East Penn Railroad NE-23 Job is pulling 3 boxcars from Marano & Son's Track in Northeast Philadelphia with former Conrail Pup 8635 which started life in 1955 for the New York Central System as NYC 9635 and eventually CR 8635 and ATC 8635 before becoming East Penn 8635. This particular engine has been to hell and back and is very lucky to be alive in 2019 and still Pulling Freight.
After Allied Tube & Conduit closed in Northeast Philadelphia, the Branch barely saw any service if any other then LPG Car Storage, before ATC Sold the SW900 to ESPN, the lone engine was a EMD GP10 which started life for the the PRR in 1956 as PRR 7068 a GP9, before becoming CR 7557, then ESPN 2202 and eventually ESPN 1700, now with 1700 on the Octoraro & WN Line's, 8635 is the Lone Power for the Branch and with Marano receiving rail again, the branch as been brought back to life with service about 3 times a week.
