On christmas eve, the legendary double red arrow "Churchill-Pfeil" RAe 4/8 # 1021 of the SBB, built in 1939 and 80 years in service now, is ready for a nightly 4 hours round trip, with eating and drinking on the train for about 100 guests. The journey will go to Killwangen-Würenlos-Regensdorf-Bülach-Eglisau-Schaffhausen, and back via Andelfingen-Winterthur-Wallisellen to Zürich, with special slow speed over the Rhine bridge Eglisau, along the Rhine fall and over the Rhine fall bridge between Neuhausen and Schloss Laufen.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
