Mondays on the Lehigh tend to be slow, and the weather forecast of partly to mostly sunny skies was a bust. So I took a stroll through a cemetery toting along my camping chair. Glanced at a few old headstones, spotted some deer, and appreciated the buds on the trees. Sat by a tranquil stream and the weather was simply perfect. There is something soothing about a calm and cloudy day. Pondered the morning, listening to the birds and enjoying the sounds of early spring, when all of a sudden - just when I least expected it - horns began to blow in the distance. The peace of the morning was broken. Oh my a train is approaching, my only chance! How much time do I have to get in place and frame a shot? I begin to scramble as the crossing signals in the distance start to ring. Got to hurry... here she comes!
