It may be 2020 but it is still possible to see a quartet of Erie Lackawanna SD45-2s pulling a train (at least in New Jersey you can). Pictured is OI-16 pulling soutbound along the NJ-Turnpike at CP Fran on the Conrail Garden State Secondary with Norfolk Southern SD45-2s 1705, 1701, 1700, 1703. While this may seem like a bizarre sight, it is actually fairly common if the stars align properly. On Saturdays the OI-16 normally relays the Bayway power back to the namesake yard after servicing along with the OI-16 power in tow. If both sets are a pair of SD45s, it is almost guaranteed that this will happen.
