With rain from Hurricane Barry coming down, Alabama Southern train 222 passes between the pillars of the 1923-built GM&O Depot in Northport, Ala. as they approach ABS's Tuscaloosa Yard. On point for that night was a few CSX run-thru engines to Birmingham with 564 on the head.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
