The electric Gotthard locomotives in the first years after the electrification in 1920. The Ce 6/8 I # 14201 on the left, also called "Grossmutter" (grandmother) was built as prototype in 1918, but before it was delivered and tested, a first order for locomotives had to be placed. This were for freight service the later "world famous" crocodiles Ce 6/8 II, represented by the operational # 14253 in the middle from SLM and MFO in 1919. For passenger trains, the Be 4/6 series (on the right) was ordered. The # 12332 built in 1922 by SLM and BBC is not operational any more. # 12320 is operational in Winterthur.
