A60 roars up the 1 in 50 Langwarrin bank between Baxter and Leawarra, with a light load of two MTH passenger cars. The Stony Point line is operated as a diesel shuttle between the electric terminus at Frankston, and the tiny town of Stony Point on Westernport Bay. Unusually, it is operated by the suburban operator (Connex at the time of this photo), using hired rollingstock from country operator V/line. Until 2008 it was something of a railfan paradise, with the short consist being hauled by one of the four streamlined A class EMD's - which are a 1980's rebuild of 1950's B class locomotives. A60 was the first mainline diesel electric loco to run in Victoria, and is now preserved with the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre.
