Remarks & Notes |
A Morristown & Erie crew pulls the last remaining pieces of equipment from the now-defunct New York & Greenwood Lake Railway out of Passaic, NJ. The train has started to cross the Passaic River into Garfield. This equipment was stored in Island Yard (barely visible through the trees at left) for many months in anticipation of this move. This was the first of several moves that would ultimately bring the equipment to a storage location in Honesdale, PA. The remnants of the Dundee Spur are on borrowed time, with a final run (or runs) to remove salvageable rail and related hardware expected to occur in the following weeks. |
