A coal train rolls through the tunnel at Eads Bridge, and is about to pass by the famous St. Louis Arch which is not far behind me. The elevation of the tracks and tunneling along this line, as well as its very close proximity to the Arch makes it a very neat spot to catch trains. The bridge has a cool and interesting structure, it was built in the 1800s and is named for its designer, James B. Eads. Today it still carries car and Metrolink traffic across the Mississippi.
