A superb blessing of early snow and wintery weather helped mellow the forest fires of northern Colorado and bless those of us who worship the steam and steal beast. RGS 20 unwrapped and in full glory was on full display Sunday morning with all the glory a puffer belly could muster in 19 degrees and snow.
In this frame, RGS 20 is moving away from the water tank after an air test and water in the tender. Today’s train is going to run for 6 hours in heavy snow and sub zero temperatures. By any measure Colorado narrow gauge mountain railroading.
